About me:
I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona where I began a lifelong relationship with the seductress known as art. My very first memories revolve around art classes I took as a child, and I have never stopped creating since! My creative projects have taken on countless forms in collaborations with numerous artists as well as personally. I have a pup named Mad Max, coincidentally those are the names for his 2 modes of being. I enjoy playing disc golf, hiking in various Arizona sceneries, and most of all love creating art. My favorite things to do art-wise are painting and 3D digital design; and I am lucky enough to be involved with the First Friday artwalks in downtown Phoenix, every first Friday of the month, where I enjoy live painting and connecting with artist and art-lovers alike.
In the recent decade or so I have found myself a new fascination and love of digital art and design. I studied film and animation as well as graphic design at Purdue University, and ever since I've found a close connection to many different aspects of digital design. I have worked formally with clients such as Billboard, Blaupunkt, Duracell, Gold's Gym, and others in graphic design projects. I have collaborated with numerous artists and musicians on anything from album design to live visual sets for performing musicians.

What is
I have been developing graphic art and media for over 10 years now, and I've loved every step of the way. DAEBA is my alias everywhere my art has followed, and I am thrilled to continue developing my brand through the future possibilities of the Metaverse - the DAEBAverse. From artwork to collaboration, storytelling to visual interactive design, exclusive content and access across a wide array of digital media, and so much more to come! Daeba Designs is building a new path into the future where artists and art lovers can convene in a world designed to push the boundaries of creativity and connect artists of all levels across the globe like never before. NFT = Non Fungible Token
Firstly, please don't consider any of this financial advice. This is my current and always developing understanding of NFTs and surrounding markets. Always do your own research and if you have more questions please ask and I will help answer what I can or find resources for things I cannot!
The term non fungible token defines the idea behind all this stuff, so let's break it down!
Fungible means equally interchangeable, like a dollar bill. They can be swapped equally because of their "fungible" nature.
Non-fungible means unique, things that cannot be interchanged equally. They have a unique identity and their price is based on others' interpretations.
Token means some sort of asset that can be owned. Fungible tokens are things like Bitcoin or Ethereum, they can be traded for themselves equally. Non-fungible tokens are NFTs!
So, essentially, NFTs are "items" or "assets" that exist on digital blockchains (there will be more about this soon so keep reading!) which allow them to be traded with unique individual values. Some NFTs are worth millions of dollars in the current market, while a signficant rest of the portion are valued at extremely low dollar amounts.
Well, it can honestly mean a lot of things! Right now you're probably seeing a lot about digital artwork when NFTs are mentioned, and that's because the current market for NFT art is exploding! Will it sustain, will there be a bubble pop? I don't really know, we can only speculate!
What I do know is the true value that NFTs can have for our future. Remember that word "blockchain" from a second ago? "Blockchains" are essentialy digital ledgers (i.e. running notes of things that happen) that exist on the decentralized web (think Cloud-based technology, but BIGGER). These ledgers are constantly looked at and verified by a network of infrastructure that is literally worldwide and literally growing larger every second of the day. What this means then is that anything happening on that ledger will always be a permanent part of the information recorded, and that information will continue to be verified as long as the blockchain exists.

SO, with the idea that transactions and unique identifiers can be permanent, and more importanly TRUSTED, recordings of things like currency exchanges, sales, and other trades, we open up a whole world of implications with this technology.
Imagine buying a house and being able to observe the entire transactional history of that house's deed through NFT technology.
Imagine a business that partners with local artists to create exclusive coupons and offers that can be traded socially, with percentages of all future sales on those items still benefitting the original parties.
Imagine owning copies of digital games much like you would physical consoles, and being able to trade in-game assets or even the whole game for other items or money.
Imagine anything you need to be verified is instantly and trustlessly that way, without having to worry about whether or not someone is being censored or something is true.
It's hard not to get lost when thinking about the future of all this technology, but I hope that helps open up a bit more undertstanding of what you're seeing here and what is going on in the coming years. I have included resources around this page to help any newcomers get more familiar with the spaces and to try to get as many people integrated with this technology of the future as I can!
All of this can be quite overwhelming to begin, but I'm trying my best to help share my intro-level knowledge to those who are in need of more understanding. Please check out the BEGINNERS GUIDE linked here or at the top of the page to check out what I've gathered for information so far.
Some key points to research that can get you started on discovering more about NFTs and blockchain technology:
Non-fungible tokens: as discussed above, this is the core concept of what is going on around here.
Blockchains: again, mentioned above, this is the technology behind the functionality of NFTs.
Web3: the new web interface offering decentralized, trustless interaction between networks across the world.
OpenSea: the current largest online market for NFT minting and trading.
NFT Minting: the act of creating an NFT on the blockchain, many different websites offer different ways of doing this.
Cryptocurrency: if you are unfamiliar with this term I encourage you to start here - this is the fundamental technology behind the NFT blockchains and will help establish a better understanding for how the digital currencies trade and interact with each other and other technologies.
Crypto Wallet: similar to the above, this is a digital way of storing your tokens and assets, and is essential to becoming involved with this technology.
These key concepts will help your research paths as you start to form your own knowledge on this stuff, but is by no means a comprehensive list of things you should stick to in beginning. Each journey is unique and I encourage you to keep poking down trails that get you excited or interested.
If you're looking to move past these steps, I have included instructions on how you may start opening wallets and trading cryptocurrencies on the beginners page listed above. I will do my best to keep things updated to help anybody gain a head start in beginning to understand all of this stuff.
Right now I'm trying to wrap my head around all the possible futures that these markets and myself will have within the greater digital networks. My main focus right now is to build up my artwork in the NFT markets, and re-establish myself as an artist in these new virtual spaces. Most of this means learning about all the different avenues of how to navigate different websites and understanding the blockchain technologies that power this stuff. In addition to trying to open up my personal collection of artwork, I am also in collaboration with multiple other NFT artists and managers to curate future collections of art that will be able to help support these communities and benefit collectors. You will be able to keep up with more of this news as it develops in my "Updates" page, listed in the home menu.
I currently am in the middle of releasing the collection Cyber Tony's Smokers Lounge, an exclusive set of 1,111 'Virtual Cigs' that live in different blockchains. These NFTs will act as passes to allow holders future benefits like exclusive access and currency/NFT airdrops to holder wallets; as well as offering opportunities for community/charity givebacks. Cyber Tony's will be an experiment of launching a collection across multiple blockchains, while allowing diversity within the Daeba collections to allow more access to buyers in various networks. The collection is a running experiment and will likely have lots of changes in its development, but the end goal is to have a series of artworks that include exclusive benefits to supporters and holders.
Other things happening right now are building blocks for the bigger future I have planned: social media sites, web pages, roadmap building, collection design, networking, marketing/creating awareness, and fully establishing myself as an artist in NFT spaces, among much more. I will be announcing upcoming collections and roadmap updates as available, and in the meantime will continue to reach out to more artists and collectors to keep gathering support.
